I need someone experienced in writing Archaeology lab reports. This is an archaeology lab report based on artifacts recovered from a dig site. The end product is supposed to be similar to the reports written by archaeologist after excavating to report the research results. Since I have never written anything like this I could use some skilled help with editing and formatting. This includes, in text citations, references written in SAA formatting, photo, table and graph captions discussed and cited correctly. I am wondering if I am in the ball park of choosing appropriate information to discuss in each section including discussing artifacts, how they are found and what they mean to the bigger picture. My assemblage is only animal remains. The sections outlined are based on his requirements and I am wondering if I am choosing the right kind of information to put there. The first 14 pages here are pre-research.
The list below is from my professor so I am assuming that is all that needs to be fixed for now, but I am open to an experienced opinion.
Professor notes based on section
Introduction Awkward sentences
Environmental Setting Not enough in-text citations
Local Flora Missing plants that were important to people here, and list the main non-food plants
Local Geology Replace map
Regional Sequence Refer to Lab handouts on Paleo, Early Archaic periods ect
Ethnography of Idaho Cite Steward 1938 and Murphy and Murphy 1986
Early History Missing Citations
Citations Edit and format properly
Concerns; Proofreading, am I targeting the proper information in each section? Proper format of citations
Citations are done in SAA format and even my word document is against me when trying to space things correctly.
