Describe An Investigation into the Attitudes, Behaviours and Interactions of Nurses in Acute Care Settings when Providing Suicide Aftercare
Initially this needs to include the attitudes of all health practitioners towards people admitted to hospital following a suicide attempt. It can include mental health clinicians, but then specifically that of nurses. The next phase should then be only medical/surgical nurses. The supposition is that anxiety drives the behaviours, so a focus of anxiety in nursing is anticipated with the literature identifying the what is inherent in nursing that causes anxiety.
